Everything here was wonderful. It was a beautiful and pleasant atmosphere with really delicious food. It was the first time I ate Carbonara, it was really great... Oysters and other seafood were also excellent. It was one of my best experiences in Lucca and I recommend it to everyone

Very good local restaurant! Following some of the posts below, we probably were the first tourists here:) Prices are reasonable (pasta 7-9€, pizza same, seafood 11-15€). Food is delicious! Home-made desserts are also incredible! Place itself is also cozy and nice. Definitely recommended!

Family run business with cordiality, genuine food, well prepared, both fish and meat. Honest prices and generous portions. I can only recommend it.

Large plates and very good food. They have both dishes with fish/shellfish and meat and at least one lager which was my choice, a beer lover as I am. I had the tagliatelle with clams, shrimp, and what i think was octopus. It was a seasoned with a touch of chilli which was delicious, I recommend! The staff was very kind and welcoming. Cosy environment in the restaurant.

Simple restaurant with a simple menu, but really delicious, huge portions and very reasonably priced. Staff were lovely. Highly recommend this place. My son was unwell too whilst we were there and the owner was so lovely to him. Thank you!

The restaurant is quite inconspicuous and is located somewhat back from the road and away from mass tourism. Here rather locals eat and we probably would not have gone here if our host had not given us this tip. Inside it is equipped like a typical country house restaurant, in addition they have a large garden area where you can also sit very nice to eat. The food was excellent, but you have to know that they don't offer pizza anymore, only a menu. The menu consists of a first and second course, where you are already full after the first course, after all, there are large portions of pasta served with meat or fish. The second course is then depending on choice (and surcharge on the base price) again with fish or meat. The taste is really very good and the service is very friendly. So if you don't want to go to a typical tourist restaurant, but want to eat very well for a manageable amount, this is absolutely the right place.

We wanted some place away from the city center .. this was less then 3 km form where we were staying .. right near the bridge , easy to miss .. so worth finding.. the owner and his wife served and cooked all the food.. pretty amazing how quickly ( Italian time ) we got waited on and served .. she was so attentive and knew we couldn’t understand the menu .. so every time she walked by with someone else’s dish she stopped to show us and say the name .. the seafood first appitizer was so fresh and perfectly cooked .. my gnocchetta was off the chain ! Perfectly seasoned with a light tomato cream sauce .. called carbonara Di mare.. we were so full we were going to pass on “dolce” but we did get one each .. my husband had a gelato Creme brûlée crust with some kind of liquer that was a surprise , so flavorful. I got a chocolate cream filled beignet .. oh my .. could not stop eating it .. very sweet local non touristy food and pricing .. would go back anytime..
